2021 Ghana Premier League: Berekum Chelsea v Karela United matchday 26 report

Berekum Chelsea failed to get back to winning ways following a 1-1 draw in their encounter with highly rated Karela United at home on Sunday.

After losing four of their last five games, Berekum Chelsea came into the game hoping for a turnaround. However, they were unable to beat Karela United.

The Blues and their opponents created some opportunities in hopes of breaking the deadlock in the first half. Unfortunately, a goal was not forthcoming as the two teams went into the dressing room on level terms.

The second half brought some joy to the fans as the goals started coming. Diawisie Taylor, the league's top scorer, broke the deadlock with a smart finish in the 54th minute for the visitors.

Berekum Chelsea were awarded an opportunity to level the score line following a penalty awarded. Stephen Amankonah stepped up and made no mistake from the spot.

Karela United are now 5th on the log and Berekum Chelsea are 12th.
