Bibiani Goldstars will welcome Dreams FC in matchday one of the betPawa Premier League on Sunday.

The 2022/23 season is expected to kick-off on Saturday, 10th September 2022 with intriguing fixtures. The Bibiani-based club will play host to the Still Believe lads at Duns Park.

The Miners who suffered only three defeats on home turf will aim to make their home grounds a fortress this season.

Last season, Goldstars lost to Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and WAFA at home.

Coach Michael Osei and his charges made an impact in their debut league season, finishing in the ninth position at the end of the campaign.

They will hope to better their performance in the upcoming campaign having acquired the services of some established players in the local scene including Atta Kusi.

Goldstars will miss the services of some players who played an instrumental role for the side last season.

Farouk Adams and Kwaku Duah who played at the heart of defense will not feature against Dreams FC due to injury and transfer respectively.

Mawuli Wayo and Ibrahim Laar are expected to fill the void left by striker Prince Opoku Agyemang who departed the club at the end of the season to Asia.

Dreams FC, who survived relegation last season, will hope to change the narrative this time around as the season begins this weekend.

Ignatius Osei-Fosu, who joined the club the latter part of the season, struggled and will seek to turn things around this campaign.

With the acquisition of some players including, Charles Owusu, Lord Bawa Martey, Eric Danso Boateng, and others, the Dawu-based club will go into the game with high spirit knowing that a win in the opener will speak well for the club.

The much-anticipated game is expected to start at 3pm on Sunday.

Predicted scores: Goldstars 2-0 Dreams

Having lost only three games at home last season, the miners will hope to make their home grounds fortress.

And playing at their favorites could propel the team to victory.
