2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak didn't play badly in heavy defeat to Karela - David Ocloo

Hearts of Oak assistant coach, David Ocloo, claimed that his side did not perform poorly during their 3-0 loss to Karela United in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League week 23 game on Saturday.

The Phobians suffered their heaviest defeat of the season, conceding two second-half goals and another in the second period.

Speaking to StarTimes after the game, Ocloo admitted that his team had a bad day at the office and acknowledged that their defensive lapses cost them the match.

"It was a bad day, but I don't think we played badly. Defensively, we were poor today. When you give your opponent time and space, they will punish you, and that's what happened today," he said.

Ocloo also took full responsibility for the defeat, stating, "I take full responsibility. We will go back and correct our mistakes and focus more on the positives."

Despite the loss, the Phobians are still fourth with 35 points and could move down the league table depending on results from other games.
