2022/23 Ghana Premier League matchday 2: Aduana Stars record 3-2 win against King Faisal to go top of table

Aduana Stars have climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League table after beating King Faisal 3-2 on Monday afternoon.

The Fire Boys last weekend kicked off the new 2022/23 football season with a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak.

Today, Aduana Stars visited the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the matchday 2 encounter of the league campaign

After putting up another top performance, the visiting team managed to get the job done to secure the three maximum points.

In the first half, goals from Bright Adjei and Adom Frimpong handed Aduana Stars a 2-1 advantage with Haruna Mohammed grabbing the consolation for the home team.

At the end of the second half of many actions, goals from Solomon Aboagye and Elia Elias cancelled out as Aduana Stars held on to win 3-2 at full time.

The victory sees Aduana Stars climbing above Dreams FC to occupy the top spot in the Ghana Premier League.

Meanwhile, King Faisal are bottom of the league table with no point after two matches into the season.
