Medeama made their home advantage count after beating Berekum Chelsea in matchday 20 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Yellow and Mauves inflicted a 1-0 win over Chelsea at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday afternoon.
The home team shot into the lead through Abdul Fatawu who scored in the 34th minute mark to make it 1-0.
Despite creating numerous goal scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the second half as Medeama cruised to victory on home turf.
Prior to the game, the Berekum-based club had recorded victories in their last two games but could not hold onto their winning run.
The win means Medeama are back to winning ways after sharing the spoils with Real Tamale United at away.
Medeama moves to the 5th spot with 31 points after 20 matches into the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign whiles Berekum Chelsea drops to 9th position with 28 points.
