2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 21: Kotoku Royals v Bechem United preview

Published on: 10 March 2023

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season will continue this weekend with as many as 8 matches scheduled to be played.

All but one game will not come off after the contest between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal was postponed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) last week.

Among the games that will be played this weekend, Kotoku Royals will welcome Bechem United in a Week 21 showdown.

Form Guide:

Following the continuous struggle this season, Kotoku Royals have remained bottom of the Ghana Premier League table for several weeks.

Now battling relegation, the team based in the Eastern Region needs to start winning games if the side wants to avoid the drop at the end of the campaign.

In the last five league matches, Kotoku Royals have lost three games, won one game, and drawn the other one.

With 14 points from 20 matches, the team is 9 points away from safety.

For the opponent this weekend, Bechem United is having a great season. Third, on the Ghana Premier League table, the Hunters are just three points behind the team that is top of the pile.

With two wins, two defeats, and one draw in the last five matches, the Hunters may not be at their best but sure pose a real threat to Kotoku Royals.

Predicted scoreline:

Bechem United go into this fixture as the favourite to amass the maximum three points. While it is expected that Kotoku Royals will put up a fight, the team’s chances of winning are very slim.

Kotoku Royals 0-2 Bechem United.
