2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Week 23 Match Preview – Great Olympics vs Legon Cities

Published on: 24 March 2023

The Ghana Premier League continues this weekend with a bang as Great Olympics host Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium in matchday 23.

The Dade boys has been in dismal form in their last five games of the domestic top-flight, losing three, drawing one and winning one in the process.

Bismark Kobi Mensah, who recently took over Great Olympics is yet to hit the ground running. Since beating Hearts of Oak 1-0 in the Ga Mantse derby, the club has not won any game in the top-flight.

Currently 13th on the league log, Olympics will be seeking for a win against Legon Cities in order to push them further on the table.

The Wonder club will go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Medeama in their last Ghana Premier League game.

Meanwhile, Legon Cities at their last outing inflicted a shocking 2-0 win over log leaders Aduana Stars. They will hope to maintain their winning run in the top-flight on Sunday.

Just like Olympics, Legon Cities have not been in their best form in the last five matches, winning one, drawing two and losing two in the process.

The Royals are 14th on the log but with a packed League standing, a win over Olympics could move them up on the standings.
