King Faisal shocked Accra Lions 1-0 at Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Matchweek 25 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The defeat means the home side is now winless in their last four games, having only drawn one of those.
King Faisal has now won back-to-back games in the league for the first time since doing so in weeks 8 and 7, also beating Accra Lions and Karela United.
The win takes the In Sha Allah lads to 12th with 31 points after starting the day in 16th place. Meanwhile, despite the defeat, Accra Lions are still in 5th place with 38 points.
Benjamin Bature scored the only goal of the game just under 10 minutes into the game to hand King Faisal the three points.
Since then, Accra Lions have pushed for the equalizer, but were unsuccessful as the visitors held on for the vital three points to boost their survival hopes.
King Faisal will clear their Ghana Premier League week 21 outstanding game against city rivals Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, April 5th. The game was rescheduled because of the Black Stars' 2023 AFCON qualifier against Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The hosts are set to play as visitors to Samartex 1996 on Friday, April 14th, in match week 26.
