2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 27: Asante Kotoko v Aduana Stars preview

Published on: 21 April 2023

The Ghana Premier League is continuing this weekend with Week 27 games of the ongoing 2022/23 football season.

The first match of the round is already underway at the Accra Sports Stadium. In a game between Accra Lions FC and Medeama SC, the home team is leading the visiting side 2-0 at the end of the first half.

While two matches have been scheduled to be played on Saturday, April 22, most matches for Week 27 will be cleared on Sunday.

The final game to wrap up the games will be the contest between Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars.

Form Guide:

Despite the tag of title contenders, Asante’s dip in form in recent times is not helping matters.

The Porcupine Warriors are 5th on the Ghana Premier League table after playing 26 games. The team has 39 points and is eight points shy of the team leading the Ghana Premier League table.

Heading into what will be a very tough match against Aduana Stars, the Reds are hoping to return to winning ways.

The opponent, Aduana Stars believe that this is their year to win a second Ghana Premier League title.

With just a three-point advantage at the top of the league standings, the team is keen on winning more games to stay at the top.

A slip in the game against Asante Kotoko could see Aduana Stars being overtaken at the top of the league table.

Predicted scoreline:

Undoubtedly, this will be the biggest fixture of the weekend. While Asante Kotoko will have a home advantage, Aduana Stars should provide a tough opposition. A draw could be fair on both teams.

Asante Kotoko 1-1 Aduana Stars.
