2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 34: Kotoku Royals v Karela United preview

Published on: 09 June 2023

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to be concluded this weekend.

After 34 weeks of highs and lows, a champion will be crowned on Sunday, June 11.

It is expected that all 18 participating clubs will honour their final matches of the league season.

Among the games that will be played on Sunday, Kotoko Royals will lock horns with Karela United.

This is a build-up to the game.

Form Guide:

Kotoku Royals are returning to the Division One League after their relegation from the Ghana Premier League a few weeks ago.

This has not been the ideal debut season the team envisaged when the side earned promotion last season.

Just one win from the last four matches and three defeats from the team’s last five matches is proof of how poor the team has been this season.

Just 26 points from 33 games have just not been enough for the team.

The opponent, Karela United are not safe from relegation as well.

The team from Anyinase has 44 points from 33 games. In the last five games, the team is unbeaten with three wins and two draws.

The team must build on that good form to beat Kotoku Royals in the last match of the season or the team will be relegated this weekend.

Predicted scoreline:

Karela United obviously have more to play for and will be the most motivated side going into this game.

Regardless, Kotoku Royals will attempt to upset Karela United to give the home fans a good end to the season.
