Black Stars forward, Felix Afena-Gyan, has opened up about his challenging experience during the 2022/2023 season following his move from AS Roma to Cremonese.

In an interview with Sports Obama on YouTube, the 20-year-old candidly described the season as "very, very tough," expressing his disappointment in not meeting his personal targets.

Reflecting on his time at Cremonese, Afena-Gyan revealed his frustration at not being able to achieve the objectives he had set for himself at the beginning of the season.

"It was a very tough season for me because I couldn't meet my target. How I planned to face the season, I couldn't get it that way so it was very tough for me.

"Everyone has his goals for the season and mine was to be part of the top scores or get some number of goals but unfortunately, it couldn't happen so it was very very tough," he said.

Throughout the season, the Ghanaian forward made appearances in 23 games for Cremonese, but he failed to find the back of the net on any occasion.

Additionally, he noted that the majority of his appearances came as a substitute, further limiting his opportunities to make an impact on the field.

Furthermore, Afena-Gyan's struggles had a ripple effect on his international career.
