2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers: Players to be tested before the Sudan game

Published on: 30 October 2020

After seven players contracted the COVID-19 virus during the two international friendlies against the Eagles of Mali and Asian Champions Qatar the Black Stars players will be tested before the Sudan game.

The Ghana Football Association has indicated that it will adhere to strict health practices before and after the Sudan game.

The Ghana FA came under pressure after some clubs whose players were involved in the friendlies announced that their players have to self-quarantine after testing positive for the virus.

The players and technical team will be tested and those affected will be immediately isolated from the group.

Ghana currently leads the qualification group C with six points after two games, second on the log is South Africa with three points after two games.
