2022 FIFA WCQ: Amiens SC midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey omitted from Ghana squad

Published on: 04 November 2021

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has excluded Amiens SC midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey from his 28-man squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa this month.

The Black Stars must beat Ethiopia and South Africa to qualify for the Africa World Cup playoffs and stand any realistic chance of qualifying to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The four-time African champions must overcome Ethiopia in South Africa and South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Ahead of the qualifiers, the Serbian trainer has dropped Lomotey for the two important games.

Meanwhile, AS Roma youngster Felix Afena Gyan and Sheriff Tiraspol star Edmund Addo have earned their first call up for the much-anticipated games.

Log leaders Bafana Bafana will take on Zimbabwe at FNB Stadium on 11 November 2021 and three days later travel to Ghana for the match against the Black Stars on 14 November.
