2022 FIFA WCQ: Zimbabwe coach Norman Mapeza realistic about Warriors' chances of reaching Qatar 2022

Zimbabwe interim coach Norman Mapeza is realistic about the Warriors' chances of reaching Qatar 2022.

The Warriors, who will host the Black Stars at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Tuesday are yet to pick a win in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Zimbabwe are rooted to the bottom of the group after three matches played so far.

"Sometimes you need to be realistic in life, the chances are now very slim," said Mapeza. "We are, however, not losing hope and will continue working hard.

"We are also using the remaining matches to prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon in January," he added.

In head-to-head stats, Ghana and Zimbabwe have now met in seven matches dating back as far as 1996.

The Black Stars have claimed four wins compared to one for the Warriors, while two games have been drawn.
