Ghana captain, Andre Ayew is confident that Black Stars will do well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup but insists it will be important to do things right.

After missing the 2018 tournament, the Black Stars have secured qualification for this year’s tournament set to be staged in Qatar.

Speaking in an interview, Andre Ayew has called on all stakeholders to put things right in order to help the team.

“I hope outside the pitch, our FA, the sports ministry will do everything so we don’t go through any bad experience again.

“I believe that, if we do our things right, if we believe, if we have the support and the prayers from our homeland, everything is possible,” Andre Ayew told GTV Sports Plus in an interview.

The Ghana captain added, “My target at the World Cup is in my heart. It’s not something that I’ll bring out. It’s the best tournament in the world by far so it’s a big opportunity for us to raise the flag of the nation high to give everything that we have to make sure that in the end, whatever happens, we’re all proud of what we have shown on the pitch.”

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana has been pitted in Group H and will face the likes of Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
