2022 FIFA World Cup: Ghana to face Ronaldo’s Portugal in opening Group H match

Ghana will kick off its campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament with a mouth-watering encounter against Portugal.

This year’s world cup is likely to be the last for football great Cristiano Ronaldo. Leading the Portuguese national team to the mundial this year, he is aiming to propel the side to lift the trophy.

Today at the end of the draw for the global showpiece, Ghana was drawn in the same group as Portugal.

The other opponents in Group H include Uruguay and South Korea.

For Ghana, the national team of the West African country is returning to the world cup this year after missing the 2018 edition held in Russia.

Ahead of the tournament, the outcome of the draw means that Ghana and Portugal will play the first match in Group H.
