The head coach of the Ghana national team, Otto Addo has stressed that his side’s first match against Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be very important.

According to him, the result from the match will influence the way his team will approach games in the remainder of the group stages of the mundial.

“I know we can beat any team in the world, that one is for sure. I think it's the first game for us but also the opponent can be very decisive on how to go on the second one.

“Because surely you will go into a match differently if you need points. Then if the opponent has lost and you have three points or one point, it is a bit different. The first match is very decisive and then from there we can know how to go on the second match,” Coach Otto Addo told 3Sports in an interview.

Ghana will play her first match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on November 24. After the game, the Black Stars will also face off with Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H.
