Majority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu has implored the technical team of the Black Stars to improve the firepower of the team.

The four-time African will come up against Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay in the group phase of the tournament.

With the team struggling to find the back of the net, Osei Mensah-Bonsu has called on Otto Addo, who is the head coach of the team to improve the goal-scoring form of the team.

"We should insist on having good attacking players because we have been lacking in our attack," he said on the floor of Parliament.

"In South Africa where we performed, we were scoring once in every game and we strive not to concede as well.

"These current players have the potential to excel and coming up against Portugal and Uruguay, I am confident about our chances to make it to the next round of the competition," he added.

Ghana will open camp for the 22nd edition of the tournament on November 10 in Abu Dhabi.

The official 26-man squad will be announced on November 14 before the team take on Switzerland in a friendly game.

Ghana will open their campaign against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Ghana will wrap up their group stage adventure with their much-anticipated encounter with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
