2022 World Cup: Black Stars have the support of Parliament - Speaker Alban Bagbin

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has assured the Black Stars of support ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana, who are four-time African champions have secured a place in the Mundial at the expense of Nigeria after a two-legged tie.

The Black Stars will open camp on November 10 in Abu Dhabi.

The team will subsequently play Switzerland in their final friendly game on November 17 at the Baniyas Stadium.

Ghana will then fly to Qatar on November 19.

The Black Stars who are seeking to improve their performance after exiting at the group phase in 2014 in Brazil will take on Portugal in their group opener before taking on South Korea in their second group game.

Ghana will wrap up their group phase games against Uruguay.

With less than a month to the start of the global showpiece, Mr. Bagbin speaking on the floor of Parliament assured the playing body and the technical team of the needed support.

The Speaker added that he is confident the team is fully prepared to do the nation the honors at the tournament.

The 22nd edition of the global showpiece has been scheduled to kick off from November 20 to December 18.
