2022 World Cup: Black Stars will leave a mark in Qatar, says optimistic ex-Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Eric Bekoe is confident the Black Stars will impress at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana, after missing out in the last edition hosted in Russia in 2018 booked a place in the Mundial after cruising over Nigeria in the playoff games.

Following the draw, the Black Stars have been pitched in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Despite the draw being described as the group of death, the former Ghana Premier League goal king believes the Black Stars will play in the next round of the games.

“Our group is an open group so, with a push Ghana will make it through the group," he told Accra based Hot FM. 

"I trust all the technical team and the current players and I know they will all make Ghana proud,” he added.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup which will be played in Qatar will commence on 21st November.

Ghana will open their campaign against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Ghana will wrap up their group stage adventure with their much-anticipated encounter with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.
