2022 World Cup: Blow for Ghana as Alexander Djiku picks up injury in France

Ghana and Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku has picked up an injury while in action for his side in France.

The tough-tackling defender started Strasbourg’s away fixture against Toulouse in the French Ligue 1 but had to pull out due to an injury setback.

He was subbed off after just 26 minutes into the much-anticipated clash on Sunday afternoon.

Djiku, who has been key for Strasbourg in the ongoing campaign will have to go on scans to determine the extent of his injury.

The defender lasts injury come as huge blow for Ghana coach Otto Addo who will in the coming days announce his provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup.
