Former Ghana goalkeeper Joe Carr has advised Black Stars players not to feel jittery during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The biggest soccer mundial has been scheduled for November and December this year, with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in Qatar.

Ghana will open their World Cup account against Portugal before taking Uruguay and South Korea respectively.

In an interview, the former Asante Kotoko shot stopper was of the opinion Ghana lost to Brazil during the September friendlies because the players were nervous and has therefore called on the players to guide against it at the mundial.

“What I have realized is that, names do not play football anymore, it’s rather based on performance and because of that, I cannot rule out the Black Stars at the World Cup”

“The team can play but I will advise them not to feel jittery at the tournament. If they are able to guide against that I am sure they can play against any team at the tournament” he said.

Meanwhile, Black Stars coach Otto Addo is yet to name his provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup.
