South Korea has lined high profile friendlies that will be played in June in order to prepare very well for the 2022 World Cup.

Korea, who is currently in full World Cup mode, is pushing friendlies with South American powerhouses such as Brazil and Argentina.

Paulo Bento spoke about South Korea's June preparation after attending a groundbreaking ceremony for the Korea Football Center in Cheonan on the 29th.

The Soccer Comprehensive Center, which will become the new home of Korean football, will be built around 120 Gasan-ri, Ipang-myeon, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, and will be completed in the first half of 2024.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by KFA President Chung Mong-gyu, Bento national team coach, Hwang Seon-hong, U-23 national team coach, and former World Cup team leaders Kim Jeong-nam and Lee Hoe-taek.

"The 4 matches in June will be difficult to prepare for due to several factors. Of course, this is also because the opponent is strong. There is a reason for the condition,” Bento said.

“But, as we have done so far, we will prepare for four games in the best way possible while adapting well to this situation.”
