FIFA published the eight groups for the 2022 Qatar World Cup finals on its website on the 5th. FIFA drew attention to the rematch of teams who had recently played each other on the World Cup stage, stating that "a reunion will be held" for Group H.

In the 2010 World Cup South Africa Round of 16, Korea and Uruguay played against each other in Port Elizabeth. Suarez scored the opening goal due to a keeper's mistake. After that, Korea's Lee Cheong-yong scored the equalizer, but Suarez scored the winning goal at the end of the match and advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time in 40 years. Korea and Uruguay met in the group stage of the 1990 World Cup in Italy, and Uruguay, where Fonseca scored a goal, also won the game.” Suarez's opening goal against Korea, which FIFA paid attention to at the time, was a scene where goalie Jeong Seong-ryong collapsed and failed to touch the ball that Forlan had connected from the left flank in front of the goal.

FIFA also introduced the feud between Uruguay and Ghana. Suarez, who scored multiple goals in the round of 16 match against Korea, cleared a shot from Adiyah in the 15th minute of the second half in the quarterfinals against Ghana, and in the end Uruguay won the penalty shootout. Regarding the situation at the time, FIFA said 'Suarez of Uruguay blocked the shot with his hand from the goal line. Afterwards, Ghanaian's penalty kick hit the crossbar. Suarez, who was sent off in tears, cheered when Gyan lost. Ghana is fighting against Uruguay, whom they meet at the World Cup stage for the first time in 12 years.

Uruguay will also face Portugal again. Uruguay defeated Portugal, led by Ronaldo, with Cavani's multi-goal in the last 16 match of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Teams in Group H of the World Cup in Qatar as well as Uruguay have various ties. Korea defeated Portugal 1-0 in the final group stage match of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Portugal experienced a 2-1 win over Ghana in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
