2022 World Cup: Nico Williams named in Spain's 26-man squad

Spanish-born with Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams has been named in Spain's final 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Athletic Bilbao was handed a maiden call up ahead of the UEFA Nations League games against Switzerland and Portugal.

However, Luis Enrique has named the 21 year old in his final squad for the Mundial.

Spain, who won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa are in Group E alongside Germany, Costa Rica and Japan.

The 2010 World champions take on Costa Rica in their opening match on 23 November.
