2022 World Cup: No Eddie Nketiah and Hudson-Odoi as England announces final squad for upcoming tournament

Young attackers Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi have been overlooked for a place in the final England squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The players had the chance to switch allegiance to play for Ghana a few months ago but refused to take the opportunity.

After hoping that they will earn a place in the England squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, they have now been disappointed.

Both players are excluded from the England final 26-man squad announced by head coach Gareth Southgate on Thursday.

In the England squad, there are three goalkeepers including Jordan Pickford, Nick Pope, and Aaron Ramsdale.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been included in the squad despite the many calls for his exclusion.

Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Connor Gallagher are included in the squad with striker Harry Kane named amongst the forwards alongside Raheem Sterling, Callum Wilson, and Marcus Rashford
