2022 World Cup: Otto Addo begins to inform players dropped from final 26-man Ghana squad

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has begun informing the players dropped from the 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 World Cup ahead of the official announcement of the final 26 list.

Four days ago the Ghana Football Association released the 55 man provisional list after weeks of speculation. The technical team has trimmed the squad to 26 players and according to reports in the local media it will be released on Friday.

The 2022 World Cup will kick off on November 20th and end on 18th December. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world, and the second World Cup held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.

Ghana will play an international friendly game against Switzerland before flying to Doha, Qatar for the Mundial.

The Black Stars of Ghana will play Portugal on 24th November, take on South Korea on 28th November and play their final group H game against Uruguay on 2nd December.
