Black Stars management committee member Alhaji Grusah has blasted journalists & Ghanaians after the Black Stars were held to a goalless draw by Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final play-offs.

There were few chances in the game as both sides failed to find the back of the net in an exciting and exhilarating game.

Ghana and Nigeria renewed their 71-year rivalry at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Friday.

"We thank God, we didn’t lose, but the journalists and the people of Kumasi should know football."

"We have a secret of training We are telling people we are going to make close door training. If you don’t allow us to watch Black Stars, Nigeria will score you. I hope you are all happy with the result in the first leg," angry Grusah said after the game.

"People were yelling for the squad. Have you seen this squad before? This is the best squad Ghana has ever had in the last two years."

The two West African countries will face each other in the second leg on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The winner of the tie will represent the continent at the World football showpiece which is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18.

The Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for the global showpiece a 7th time and, since 1994, have missed only one of seven editions. The last of three appearances by Ghana was in 2014.
