Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong has admitted his side is under pressure ahead of Tuesday’s crucial second leg World Cup qualifying playoffs against Ghana.

The Super Eagles will host Ghana in the return leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

Ghana and Nigeria played out a goalless draw in an exciting and exhilarating game at the Baba Yara Stadium last Friday.

"We are always under pressure playing for Nigeria everytime we are putting on the shirt and representing millions. We know how much it means for us and for our families,"

"Going to Kumasi and getting a draw I think it wasn’t a bad result and come Tuesday we are hoping to secure the ticket."

The winner of the tie will represent the continent at the World football showpiece which is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18.

The Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for the global showpiece a 7th time and, since 1994, have missed only one of seven editions. The last of three appearances by Ghana was in 2014.
