The technical team of the senior national team, the Black Stars have named youngster, Felix Afena Gyan in the squad for the 2022 World Cup playoff games against Nigeria this month, Footballghana.com understands.

The AS Roma forward turned down a maiden call-up to the national team back in November for the final round of qualifier against Ethiopia and South Africa.

However, the youngster is likely to be available for the all-important double-header against the Super Eagles.

Ghana will host the Super Eagles at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first leg on March 25 at the Cape Coast Stadium before the return game on March 29 in Abuja.

After a disappointing AFCON in Cameroon, the Black Stars are seeking to make amend against their rivals by booking a place in the Mundial scheduled to be hosted in Qatar later this year.

The 18-year-old has been a revelation in the Serie A after scoring a brace against Cagliari in his debut game for the club making 15 appearances in all competitions.

Otto Addo is expected to release the squad soon.
