2022 World Cup qualifiers: Black Stars to depart on Tuesday for Ethiopia game in Johannesburg

The playing body of the senior national team, the Black Stars will leave the shores of Ghana on Tuesday for their game against Ethiopia.

The Walia ibex were scheduled to host Ghana at their home grounds but will now host the West African country in Johannesburg.

The comes after the Confederation of Africa Football [CAF] banned the stadium where the game will be staged.

According to CAF, the edifice does not meet the requirement of Caf and Fifa.

The Ethiopia Football Federations [EFF] has resorted to host the four times African champions at the Orlando Stadium in the matchday five games of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers on November 11.

However, the Black Stars will open camp on Monday with international and local players expected to team up.

The playing body together with the technical team will leave the shores of the country on Tuesday for the game on Thursday.

Meanwhile, head coach of the Ghana national team, Milovan Rajevac on Thursday has named a 28-man squad for the games against Ethiopia and South Africa.

After the game against the Walia ibex, the Black Stars will host the Bafana Bafana at the Cape Coast Stadium in their final Group G games on November 14.
