2022 World Cup qualifiers: Black Stars to return from South Africa today

The senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana will arrive in the country earlier today for their final Group G games on Sunday.

Ghana travelled to Johannesburg for their matchday five games of the 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia.

The Black Stars who needed a win to keep their chances alive were held to a 1-1 draw by the Walias at the Orlando Stadium.

The team had a recovery training at the Orlando Stadium this morning but will arrive in their native country for the final group game.

The Black Stars will host South Africa at the Cape Coast Stadium, a game that Ghana must win to ensure they book a place in the playoffs.

The draw with Ethiopia leave Ghana at the 2nd position with 10 points with South Africa sitting on top of the log with 13 points.

Ghana are seeking to return to the Mundial next year in Qatar having missed out in the last edition hosted in Russia in 2018.

The game against the Bafana Bafana has been scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT.
