The Public Relations Officer of Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto, says it is not impossible to kick off their 2023/24 CAF Champions League campaign by picking a good result against Al Ahly.
Akoto, however, admits the game is a very difficult one, especially away from home.
On Saturday night at Al Salam Stadium, the Ghanaian champions will play their first-ever match in the premier African club competition against the Egyptian heavyweights.
The last training session for the Yellow and Mauves will take place this Friday evening after they arrived in Cairo on Wednesday night.
Speaking ahead of the game, Akoto said the game is tough but everything is possible in football.
“The match we are going to play is very difficult. That is the truth. It is a very tough game but it is not something that is impossible,” he told Asempa FM.
“In football, everything can happen. These boys also want to demonstrate that they are the champions of Ghana.
“We don’t want to come and disgrace ourselves. We want to give off our best against a very resolute and top team like Al Ahly.”
The game will kick off at 7 pm on Saturday.
