The Public Relations Officer of Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto, has admitted that their 2023/24 CAF Champions League group stage match against record winners Al Ahly is very tough.
The Ghana champions will take on the Egyptian heavyweights on Saturday night at the Al Salam Stadium in their first-ever game in the premiere African club competition.
The Yellow and Mauves arrived in Cairo on Wednesday night and will hold their final training session on Friday evening.
Speaking ahead of the game, Akoto said the game is tough but everything is possible in football.
“The match we are going to play is very difficult. That is the truth. It is a very tough game but it is not something that is impossible,” he told Asempa FM.
“In football, everything can happen. These boys also want to demonstrate that they are the champions of Ghana.
“We don’t want to come and disgrace ourselves. We want to give off our best against a very resolute and top team like Al Ahly.”
The game will kick off at 7 pm on Saturday.
