2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 10: Match Report – Samartex 1-0 Kotoko

Samartex got back to winning ways in their match week ten game against Asante Kotoko on Saturday afternoon. 

Before the encounter 6th place Samartex had drawn one game, won two, and lost two in five games. 15th place Asante Kotoko had won one, drawn two, and lost two in five games.

The Porcupine Warriors were looking to snap their losing streak, but an incredible free kick made sure the hosts took home a well-earned victory.

Emmanuel Keyekeh scored the game's only goal in the 31st minute propelling the Timber Boys to a narrow 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko at Nsekyire Park.

Samartex headed to the dressing room with Emmanuel Keyekeh's strike.

In the second half, Asante Kotoko brought on Isaac Oppong, Rocky Dwamena, and Steven Mukwala to try and get a goal but the backline of the home side protected their lead till the end.

Samartex will take on Accra Great Olympics in their next league game. Asante Kotoko will play champions Medeama SC at home.
