In highly competitive Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday, Accra Lions and Nations FC will lock horns at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

The Accra-based club has been forced to move their home venue from the Accra Sports Stadium following its closure by the National Sports Authority.

Both teams are aiming to maintain their winning run in the Ghanaian top-flight after recording victories in their previous games.

Accra Lions have managed three wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five games and with sixteen points, Ibrahim Tanko’s outfit find themselves 12th on the Ghana Premier League table after 12 games so far this season.

Lions, co-owned by Germany football legend, Lothar Mathaus are brimming with confidence ahead of the clash after shocking Aduana Stars last weekend with a narrow win at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

The Premier League debutants, Nations FC are eager to maintain their momentum when they face off Lions on Sunday. They have been impressive in their last five games, winning four and losing just one in the process.

The Abrankese-based club has shaking off their dismal start to the campaign, recording three consecutive wins in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Nations FC are currently in 5th position with 17 points. They continued their revival with a hard-fought victory over Karela United last weekend which was their third on the spin.
