Medeama SC defeated Great Olympics 1-0 on Sunday afternoon after a late goal by Kamaradini Mamudu.

The capital-based club welcomed the defending league champions to the Accra Sports Stadium today for their Week 29 encounter of the campaign.

Although both teams would play well and create good goal-scoring chances in the first half, neither side could find the back of the net and had to settle for a goalless draw at halftime.

In the second half, both teams took risks in a bid to score to merit all three points.

Eventually, Medeama SC managed to get a breakthrough six minutes into injury time.

A solitary equalizer by Kamaradini Mamudu decided the contest to seal a narrow win for the defending champions away from home.

The result lifts Medeama SC to 4th on the Ghana Premier League standings while Great Olympics stay in 14th and just two places above the relegation zone.
