2023/24 Ghana Premier League week 31: Asante Kotoko complete double over Hearts of Oak with 2-0 win

Asante Kotoko completed a league double over their bitter rivals Hearts of Oak this season with a 2-0 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, in a match for week 31 of the Ghana Premier League.

The first round encounter, played in Kumasi, saw Asante Kotoko emerge victorious with a 3-2 scoreline.

The two goals in the recent match were scored by Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala just nine minutes into the game and late in stoppage time.

Mukwala capitalized on a brilliant overhead pass, displaying composure as he finished despite the close pursuit of four Hearts of Oak defenders who failed to challenge him in the first goal.
