Bibiani Goldstars made their home advantage count after defeating CAF Confederation Cup semifinalists Dreams FC at Duns Park on Sunday.

In a highly competitive clash, Goldstars and the Still Believe lads locked horns in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

Goldstars prevailed with a 2-1 victory on home turf to merit the three maximum points at stake.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net in the much-anticipated clash.

The host opened the scoring one minute after the halftime break through Alex Aso before Emmanuel Appau scored to seal victory for the home team in the 54th minute mark.

Dreams FC managed to pull one back in injury time through Joseph Esso as the home team secure all points in the game.

The Still Believe lads hoped for victory amid the fight against relegation but Goldstars proved to be a stronger opponent, resulting in defeat in that regard.

Goldstars have moved to the 10th position, accumulating 43 points after 31 matches whiles Dreams FC drops to 14th on the league log with 38 points.

It is important to note that Dreams FC have two outstanding games and with three games at hand to end the campaign, the Still Believe lads can boast of five remaining games.
