Although the home team would dominate the first half, the team could not take advantage to win the match.
Before the break, goals from Alex Aso and Appiah McCarthy handed Gold Stars a healthy lead.
However, after recess, Heart of Lions upped their game and turned the game on its head.
Thanks to the resilient performance of the visitors, the team scored through Yakubu Mumuni and Ebenezer Abban to force the match to end in a 2-2 draw.
