2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Angola to fly to Kumasi directly for Ghana clash

Published on: 16 March 2023

Black Stars opponents Angola will fly directly to Kumasi on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 ahead of their clash with the Black Stars in the AFCON qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to Angola on March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium before the reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27.

Angola has been camping in Algeria and will fly directly to Kumasi for the Ghana tie on Thursday afternoon.

“Angola will fly directly from their camp based in Algeria to Kumasi airport on Tuesday, March 21” Ghana FA spokesperson Henry Asante Twum said in an interview.

The Black Stars returns to the Baba Yara barely a year after the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria, where Ghana evicted the Super Eagles on an away goal rule.

Ghana is joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.
