2023 AFCON qualifiers: Black Stars coach Chris Hughton names starting eleven for Angola showdown

The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton has named his starting eleven to face off with their counterpart from Angola today.

Ghana will today take on Angola in Group E of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ahead of the game, the Black Stars' new head coach has selected Lawrence Ati-Zigo to be in the post.

He will be protected by a back four that includes centre-back pair Alexander Djiku and Daniel Amartey.

Thomas Partey is starting as the main man in midfield with a compliment from poster boy Mohammed Kudus.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Inaki Williams are leading the lines today.

The match between Ghana and Angola comes off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium today. The game is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt.

The Black Stars are hoping to secure a win to stay on top of the Group E standings of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
