Published on: 21 March 2023

The full 25-man Black Star touched down in Kumasi this afternoon ahead of their crucial back-to-back matches against Angola in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The contingent will lodge at the Lancaster Hotel Kumasi, formerly recognized as the Golden Tulip Hotel.

Before departing for Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon, the team had a light workout session at the Accra Sports Stadium, closely monitored by head coach Chris Hughton.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed that the team would have their first training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Tuesday evening at 4:00PM to amplify preparations for the forthcoming encounters.

The Black Stars are set to play against Angola in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23, while the reverse fixture is scheduled for Luanda on March 27.

Following a 3-0 victory over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw against the Central African Republic in June last year, Ghana are presently joint top of Group E with four points from two games.
