The Diretor General for the National Sports Authority, Peter Twumasi has confirmed the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is ready to host Ghana's game against Angola on March 23 in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana will play host to Angola on March 23 at the Baba Yara Stadium before the reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27.

The Black Stars returns to the Baba Yara barely a year after the 2022 World Cup play-off against Nigeria, where Ghana evicted the Super Eagles on an away goal rule.

In an interview with Accra-based radio station Peace FM, the NSA boss disclosed the facility is ready to host the Angola clash next Thursday.

"Yes by the grace of God...I left the place and got to Accra yesterday. I was also there throughout last week work went on smoothly and everything is ready. What we are looking forward to is God will grant us 23rd then we kick off,"

The Black Stars lead Group E of the qualifiers with four points, followed by Angola who are also on four points before Central African Republic and Madagascar follow in that order.
