Host nation Morocco is poised to set the stage ablaze as the highly awaited 2023 Afcon U-23 tournament commences.

Guinea will take on the hosts in their first Group A encounter at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.
“The Federation has put us in excellent conditions in view of this tournament and we must represent the country well. We must not make mistakes,” coach Issame Charai told the media.
Coach Charai stated that Guinea would not be underestimated because they qualified for this tournament by defeating a formidable Nigerian squad.
“Guinea represents a real opposition. That will not be an easy game and it will be up to us to stay disciplined and focused," added the coach.
After taking on Guinea, the hosts will face Ghana on June 27th, followed by Congo Brazzaville three days later in the final group encounter.
