Chris Hughton is set to announce his Black Stars squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Angola next month.

Ghana will take on Angola in a doubleheader in the third and fourth round games.

The Black Stars will host their opponent at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 23 before travelling to Luanda for the reverse fixture four days later.

And according to the Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Henry Asante Twum speaking in an interview confirmed that the former Newcastle and Brighton will arrive in the country for his official unveiling as the head coach of the team.

He added that after the unveiling, Hughton will then announce his squad for the doubleheader this month.

“He is working, Chris and his assistants will be unveiled together. When he arrives we will communicate the date and venue for his unveiling and then use that as part of the build-up to the game against Angola," he told 3Sports.

"There will also be squad announcements, details of the contract, and the targets set for the new technical team," he added.

The Black Stars are joint top of Group E alongside Angola with both teams with four points after two games.
