2023 Africa Cup of Nations: Mohammed Kudus named Man of The Match against Mozambique

Ghana attacker, Mohammed Kudus has been named the Man of The Match against Mozambique.

In Ghana’s encounter today Kudus was the bright light for the Black Stars on Monday evening at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara.

The West Ham midfielder had 48 touches of the ball, had 96% passing accuracy, made one key pass, four shots in total, three successful dribbles, and three shots blocked.

The game was very cagey in the initial stages of the encounter. Ghana used the flanks to try and unsettle Mozambique. Ghana broke the deadlock from the penalty spot. Jordan Ayew stepped up and scored to make it 1-0.

In the second half, both teams battled hard to gain control of the game. Ghana made some changes, Andre Ayew replaced john Paintsil. The referee whistled for a penalty after a handball in the box. Jordan Ayew again stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to double Ghana’s lead.

Mozambique scored two late goals to kick Ghana out of the tournament.
