2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: Black Stars arrive in Ghana after holding Angola in Luanda

Black Stars have safely touched down in Ghana following their 1-1 drawn game against Angola in Luanda on Monday evening in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers.

Having recorded a 1-0 win in the matchday three games at the Baba Yara Stadium, the four-time African champions held the Palancas Negras at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in the matchday four games.

Lucas Joao scored from the spot but substitute Osman Bukari rose from the bench to score with his first touch to cancel out his lead to rescue a point for Ghana.

However, the team have arrived in Ghana early hours on Tuesday.

The players will return to their various clubs subsequently to continue with the remainder of the 2022/23 football season.

Ghana remain at the top of the group with eight points, followed by Central African Republic, who moved to second after back-to-back wins over Madagascar. Angola drop to third with five points, while Madagascar are out of the race for qualification.

The Black Stars will take on Madagascar and the Central African Republic in the final round of qualifiers.
