Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey is set to play in front of Kumasi football fans for the first time after completing his nationality switch to the West African country.
Lamptey featured at the 2022 World Cup with the Black Stars following his nationality switch.
The former Chelsea academy graduate has been named in Chris Hughton's 25-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] qualifiers against Angola.
The Black Stars will host the Palancas Negras at the Baba Yara Stadium on March 23 before honouring the reverse leg in Luanda in four days' time.
However, Lamptey is yet to play on home soil, and the chance to do so in front of the Ghanaian fans is an opportunity he is relishing.
He is expected to keep his place in the team ahead of the games.
The Black Stars need to win both games to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which will be held in Ivory Coast next year.
The Black Stars are joint top of Group E alongside Angola with both teams with four points after two games.
