Gabonese referee, Pierre Atcho will handle the Black Stars match against the Central African Republic (CAR) in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers next month.

Atcho will lead three other countrymen when CAR host Ghana in a second Group G fixture in the qualifiers to the Cote d’Ivoire Afcon on Sunday, June 5.

Marlaise Marlaise Ditsoga Boris and Urbain Ondo Ndong have been appointed as Assitants I and II to the 29-year-old.

Tanguy Patrice Mebiame completes the quarter from Gabon as Fourth Official.

The Match Commissioner is Marcellin Gaha Djiadeu from Cameroon.

Atcho was in charge when the senior national team defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 at Cape Coast in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers just last October.

Central African Republic will have to host Ghana at a neutral venue as their Barthélemy Boganda Stadium in Bangui is one of 23 banned facilities across the continent “for not meeting the required standards to host Caf A Type competitions”

Kickoff, meanwhile, has been confirmed for 13:00 GMT on June 5.
